This collection of emotive compositions is an uplifting masterpiece. It begins with the title track “Guiding Light” that is comprised of an ever bouncing lead floating amongst a cleansing and carefree ambiance. The shimmery vocal pads delicately accent the hypnotic lead. Working together, like a warm blanket, they whisk the listener into a dreamlike state. “Nostalgia” is next up, perpetuating the cheerful progressions, using its own variation of a sparkling arpeggios dancing atop a sustained and grounding bassline. The most expressive track was surely saved for last in “ILY”. The lush pads, vocal reverbs, and comprehensive atmosphere create a loving and heavenly soundscape that act as the glue that binds the cathartic yet juxtaposed lyrics.
