Steyoyoke Black’s Reconstructed Series returns with a compelling two track EP featuring two remixes of Nick Devon’s ‘Venus Landing’ as well as Binaryh’s ‘Algorithm’. Minimalism is the name of the game for recent additions on remix duty Altego and aacht.   Altego has been making waves of late with his debut performance on Steyoyoke Black ‘Thousand Words’. His rendition of ‘Venus Landing’ cements his style in impressive fashion. A compact kick throbs relentlessly as inhuman synths weave in and out. Altego takes the listener on a journey through dimensions unknown as spectral soundscapes create a distinct sense of otherworldliness.

aacht’s reconstruction of ‘Algorithm’ immediately overwhelms the listener with a strong percussive structure as well as a delicate blend of pads and bassy pulsation. Shimmering rides thrust the track forwards until it gives way to a lengthy break of artful silence and playful synths. aacht’s rendition of ‘Algorithm’ is an intelligently engineered floor-filler that is bound to hit home delivering both melancholy and danceable vibes alike.   The latest edition of Steyoyoke Blacks Reconstructed perfectly merges the experimental with the danceable.
