The ‘Reconstructed’ series hit back with a release that revisits two of Steyoyoke Blacks earliest masterpieces. Aaryon and David Granha amalgamate their skills and talents to deliver their own versions of Pete Oak’s ‘Tranquila’ and Skena’s ‘Waiting in the Wings’.

Aaryon & David Granha’s interpretation of ‘Waiting In The Wings’ takes on quite a few extra drum layers, giving it a more punchy vibe. A torrent of high hats and double bassline kicks establish a strong foothold, subsiding only momentarily to allow for the tracks signature synth riffs to shine through, which arrive in a much lower key then the original.  

This ‘Tranquila’ remix has even more elements added to its already unforgiving presence. The bassline oozes a solid dubbed flavouring and sits more prominently as the backbone of the remix, all whilst industrial soundscapes punch and claw their way in and around the track, creating a rhythmic angst of darkness and ferocity.
