Montenegrin artist Darko Milosevic returns to Steyoyoke Black to take part in the project Steyoyoke Black Reconstructed – a chance for one of our artists to remix two older tracks in the catalogue.

The first remix, of Binaryh’s ‘Parallels’, is a dynamic piece, complementing the intensity of the original with layers of percussion and shimmering high synths. The additional melodic elements open up the soundscape to make for a vibrant, compelling track.

‘Timelapse’ on the other hand, a remix of the original by Nick Devon & Never Lost, does almost the opposite, taking a track with a sweeping, atmospheric soundscape and paring it back to its core elements. Alternating layers of melancholic, simple melodies give this more focused track a definite sense of forward movement.

Darko Milosevic does a great job of showing his versatility across only two tracks, making this skillful EP an impressive success.
